We are a small group of people who are passionate about the Bingley community. We’ve put a lot of work into a plan to save Bingley Pool from closure in 2020, and are now in active discussions with Bradford Metropolitan District Council (BMDC) on an asset transfer of Bingley Pool to our group.
Our focus now is to work with BDMC to assess whether the transfer is viable, and also to fundraise, facilitate and encourage community involvement.
Our long-term vision is that the pool will become a vibrant, multi-generational facility delivering valued services which meet the needs of the different local communities and groups.
- Do you want to keep Bingley Pool as a community facility for swimming and gym in Bingley?
- Do you enjoy using Bingley Pool and gym facilities?
- Do you have ideas and opinions on how Bingley Pool facilities can be improved?
If you answer yes to any of these questions, then please become a member FOBP. We are all volunteers and we need others to get involved.
You can download the membership form here and return it to reception at Bingley Pool, or fill in the online form here. Membership is FREE but we do accept donations which you can make using the button here.
As a member you have voting rights to participate in the decision making of FOBP and your voice will be heard when we are thinking of making changes to the pool and gym services.
Trustees are elected from the membership of the organisation.
